A bill seeking to establish a Federal University of Medical Sciences and Biomedical Technology across the six geo-political zones in Nigeria has been passed by lawgivers in the upper chambers of the National Assembly.
The bill was passed during grand on Tuesday, April 5, after the house considered a report by the Committee on Health ( Secondary and Tertiary).
In his donation, the chairman of the Committee, Senator Yahaya Oloriegbe (Kwara Central), said the establishment of the University in the six zones of the country would address the deficit in the admission of scholars aspiring to study Medicine and Allied Sciences in Nigeria.
