ASUU, NASU, SSANU Are Wicked For Nonstop Strike – FG

The Minister of State for Education,Mr. Emeka Nwajiuba, has condemned members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, the Joint Action Committee of the Elderly Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, and theNon-Academic Staff Union of Education and Associated Institutions for embarking on strike, leading to a complete arrestment of advanced institutions of knowledge.

The Minister during an interview described the unions’ nonstop strike conduct as an act of wickedness considering the fact that the government has agreed to their demands and would still pay them their annuity.

He, still, accredited polytechnics and council of education workers who were willing to suspend their strike and continue working while lodgment are ongoing, saying ASUU and its counterparts were being mean and wicked, not just to the government, but to Nigerians as a whole.

ASUU’s strike has officially entered its 50th day moment, April 5, 2022.
