Implement the MoA you signed with us, ASUU tells FG

Prof. Theophilus Lagi, the Abuja Zonal Coordinator of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called on the Federal Government to implement the Memorandum of Action (MoA) agreement it signed with them on the 7th of February 2019.

The Union stated that some reasons for its ongoing strike are to make demands for the arrears payment of earned academic allowance and constitution of visitation panels to public universities. The Zonal Coordinator added that the welfare of its members was of utmost importance to them.

He also encouraged the government to make the University revitalization funds available because this will upgrade the education sector to world-class standards as well as address corruption, which will, in turn, bring about developments.
