Tems Rewrites History, Becomes The First Female Nigerian Artiste To Bag Grammy Nominations
Nigerian superstar, Tems has redefined the history of Nigerian music as the organizers of the grammy awards confirmed the list of nominees ahead of the 65th edition.
Tems has changed the trajectory of Nigerian music as she became the first female Nigerian artist to bag not one but two grammy award nominations as the full list of nominees ahead of the 65th edition of the Grammy Awards scheduled to take place on the 5th of February 2023.
Tems bagged two huge nominations for her contribution to the hit collaboration with Future and Drake titled ‘Wait For U.’ The singer was nominated in the ‘Best Rap Song‘ and ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance‘ categories of the prestigious awards. Huge win for the singer whose vocals had many entrapped on the song following its release.
Tems also received another nomination for the Album Of The Year as a featured artist on Beyonce‘s ‘Renaissance‘ album taking her total nominations for the Grammy Awards 2023 to 3 nominations.
