Tems Receives MTV Video Music Awards 2022 Nomination

Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, has received an award nomination from the organisers of the popular US award show, the MTV Video Music Awards 2022.

Tems, has been nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards 2022, following her significant contribution to Future’s hit collaboration with Drake and her title “Wait For U” in the Best Hip Hop award category.

She has previously won awards from BET, Billboard, and now a nomination on MTV award.

The talented vocalist was the only Nigerian artist nominated for any of the awards in the entire list of nominees, which was revealed today, Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

The singer has nominated alongside, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, and a slew of others.

On her way to achieving world dominance, Tems would have the opportunity to add another feather to her cap during the award ceremony, which would take place on August 29, 2022.
