Tems And Rihanna Bags Golden Globe Nomination
With Rihanna and two other artists, Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, has been nominated for a Golden Globe for their song “Lift Me Up.”
With the most recent song being nominated for the prestigious Golden Globe Awards for “Best Original Song,” the new-age global star’s stratospheric journey to the top of the international music scene continues.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association began awarding the Golden Globes in January 1944 to recognize excellence in both domestic and foreign film and television.
Tems collaborated on the song’s writing with Rihanna, Oscar winner Ludwig Gorranson, Ryan Coogler, and other notable writers. The song will serve as the theme song for the mega-hit “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” film from Marvel.
On October 28, 2022, the song—written as a homage to Chadwick Boseman’s life and work—was made public.
