Stop Begging De Jog To Join You – Angry Rio Ferdinand Slams Man United
Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has slammed the club for “begging” Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong to join them this summer.
United have been linked with De Jong throughout this transfer window, but the player is reluctant to move to Old Trafford.
Speaking on his podcast, Vibe with Five, Ferdinand claimed managers like Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola would not be following any player around.
He said:
“They’ve walked around behind him, begging him (de Jong), “please turn round and notice us, please turn round and notice us.” And he’s looking around and saying “not for me.”
“And we’re still there; “please give us one chance.” How are we putting ourselves in that position? How are we allowing ourselves to be put in a position like that?
“Do you think Klopp or Pep or Sir Alex or Jose would be following around a player like this?! They wouldn’t be doing that!”
