Former Borno State Governor, Senator Kashim Shettima has expressed that it is time for political power to go to southern Nigeria.
Shettima stated this on Friday at the public presentation of Njidda Gadzama’s book, “Standing for the Truth with Courage”.
The former governor stated that after power has resided in the north for eight years, it is only just for it to be rotated to the south.

He further said the hope of the country rests on the mindset of its people, adding that Nigeria’s problems are neither religion nor ethnicity.
“I believe in equity, justice and fairness. After power has resided in the north for eight years, there is need for a power shift in the south,” Shettima said.
