Principal Suspended Over Alleged Student Brutality In Benue

Father John Asen, the Principal of Mt St Gabriel’s Secondary School Makurdi, has been suspended with immediate effect for allegedly brutalising a student for missing classes.

This directive was handed down by the Diocesan Bishop Wilfred Anagbe asking the principal to vacate his office following a preliminary investigation in a petition.

The petition bothers on the physical abuse and torture of the student.

The Education Secretary, Father Terungwa Tor has asked Father Asen to hand over to the vice Principal administration who is expected to run the affairs of the school.

It would be recalled that pictures of a student of the school went viral following alleged brutality by the principal.
