Premier League Announce November 2023 Player Of The Month

Manchester United’s defender, Harry Maguire, has been named the Player of the Month for November 2023 by the Premier League.

Throughout the month, the English international showcased exceptional performance, contributing significantly to Manchester United’s flawless November with three wins and zero goals conceded.

Maguire played a pivotal role, featuring in every minute of the club’s successful month. His defensive prowess was evident as he made the joint-most blocks, ranked fifth in clearances, and secured the second-most aerial duels. This outstanding display marked him as the first defender to receive the Player of the Month award since Liverpool’s Joel Matip in February 2022.

In the history of the Premier League, Maguire now stands as the 15th defender to earn this prestigious recognition and is only the third from Manchester United, following in the footsteps of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.

The England international had been criticised by supporters of Manchester United and also by the neutrals following his disappointing performance. However, he has been able to turn his season around since breaking into the team.

The 30-year-old beat Benjamin Doku ( Manchester City), Antony Gordon ( Newcastle United), Raheem Sterling ( Chelsea), Marcus Tavernier ( Bournemouth), Thomas Kaminski ( Luton Town). Manchester United supporters will hope he continues on this form throughout the season as they look to finish in a UEFA Champions League spot and most likely win a trophy.
