General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye met with Kayode Fayemi, governor of Ekiti state, on Saturday.

The cleric and Fayemi held a meeting at the government house, Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

Abeboye said he visited Ekiti to pray for the residents and the state government, as well as to encourage clerics to keep up their good work.

He assured that the war against banditry and other violent crimes will soon be over, adding that the battle cannot be won with human ability.

He also condemned the attacks on traditional rulers in the state, adding that the situation shows that the G0nmen lack respect for traditional institutions.

Adeboye also noted that God will halt the reign of terror and violence in the country.

Meanwhile, Governor Fayemi described the visit as a blessing to Ekiti State, saying Nigerians place a premium on the intercessory prayers of righteous minds.
