Owen Hargreaves Predicts Country To Win Qatar World Cup

Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has tipped Argentina to win the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Brazil, The Netherlands, Portugal and England have crashed out in the quarter-finals.

They will hope to return to football’s greatest stage in 2026 when Mexico, Canada and the United States of America host the competition.

But Argentina, Morocco, France and Croatia will battle it out for the trophy in the remaining days of the showpiece in Qatar.

Having seen big football nations such as Brazil, Portugal, Spain and Germany depart the tournament, Hargreaves feels that Argentina and Lionel Messi now have their destiny in their own hands.

“It feels like it’s Messi’s destiny. If he wins it he goes down as the greatest of all time. It feels like it’s in Messi’s hands to go and get it,”
