Officers, Guests Run For Safety As Heavy Wind Disrupts Reception Organized For Police IG’s Visit To Lagos (Video/Photos)

A grand reception that was organized for the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, at the Lagos State Police Command was disrupted by heavy winds.

The newly-appointed police boss was in Lagos for a familiarization tour of the Command.

He had visited the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the State House in Marina before making his way to the Police Command in Ikeja.

During the ceremony, heavy rain started and police officers, journalists, and guests $c@mpered off to find shelter as the central canopy and several others collapsed under the strong wind.

The event later continued when the heavy wind subsided.
