Lagos State Begins Mandatory Registration Of All Private Schools
As part of its move to gather data, the Lagos State Government has directed all registered and unregistered private nursery, and primary and secondary schools currently operating in the state to upload their information on its website.
The government gave the directive in a statement issued by the director general, Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) at the state’s ministry of education, Abiola Seriki. The registration commences on Friday 15th July 2022 and will end on Friday 12th August 2022 and it is mandatory for all private nursery, primary and secondary schools, including sixth form schools in the state.
The registration, according to the statement is for data update and a validation exercise and it is aimed at ascertaining schools still in operation in the state
All concerned schools are to complete the form with a Gmail account at www.oeqalagos.com by uploading a copy of their national identity card, basic information of current school managers and administrators, and other relevant documents requested. Schools with multi-campuses are required to register each individually. All approved schools will be required to visit the OEQA for a verification exercise at a date to be communicated.
