I Prefer Arsenal Win Europa League Over stop 4 – Ramsdale

Arsenal goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale, has admitted that he would accept the Gunners finishing in the fifth position on the Premier League table if it meant lifting the UEFA Europa League trophy this season.

Arsenal have made a brilliant start to the new Premier League season as they currently sit top of the English Premier League table with 24 points after nine matches.

Mikel Arteta’s side presently have a point ahead of second-placed Manchester City and the noise is getting louder about Arsenal being potential title challengers.

The North London club are also top of Group A in the Europa League after winning their two opening fixtures.

They missed out on a top-four finish last season, but Ramsdale would be fine with doing so again this season if it meant European silverware was lifted.

“Let’s be right, we have more chances of winning the Europa League than we have the Champions League – at this moment in time. So, silverware would be perfect for us,” Ramsdale told BT Sport (via Football London).

He added,

“Personally, I would want to win the Europa League and if that means we sacrifice by finishing fifth in the league; you still qualify for the Champions League and you win silverware with it.”
