Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has insisted he is happy with their transfer business this summer, but admitted he misses club legend, Petr Cech.

Cech left Stamford Bridge shortly after American businessman Todd Boehly led a consortium to buy the Premier League club from Roman Abramovich.

Chelsea have seen a number of high-profile players leave the club, including Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Timo Werner.

Tuchel looked frustrated during their pre-season tour of America, but has now said he is satisfied with the players Boehly has managed to recruit, including Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.

However, the former Paris Saint-Germain boss has confessed he has struggled without the calming presence of Cech, who was the club’s technical director before he slept.

He said;

“I still think we are in transition with a new ownership.

“Petr Cech out who was also such a big key factor, also for me in the season in the building here in Cobham, speaking with everybody and the staff and being a huge support for me.

“He’s not here any more so there are some changes. We are positive but we are a bit in transition so we are excited but it comes pretty early (the season),” Tuchel told Soccer AM when asked to sum up Chelsea’s eventful pre-season.
