How to Activate Glo Transfer PIN & Transfer Credit on Glo

You want to learn how to transfer credit on Glo, right? Maybe it’s your first time and your transfer PIN is not activated, or maybe you forgot your PIN and want to reset it.

  • If your case is any of the aforementioned, then this guide is for you.
  • Glo is the second most popular telecommunication company in Nigeria, after MTN; and this, I believe, is due to the fact that it came in after the latter had already established itself as a force to reckon with.

At some point, we are always interested in sharing our data subscription or credit with our loved ones. After all, there’s joy in sharing.

The feature that allows you to share your credit on Glo is called EasyShare. It really is “easy” because all it demands is a simple command.

But before you go on with sharing your credit, you need to activate your EasyShare PIN if it’s your first time of using the EasyShare service.

How to activate Glo credit transfer PIN

If you have a new Glo SIM, then the default transfer PIN is 00000. To change this default PIN, dial *132*00000*[New PIN]*[New PIN]#.

If for example you want your new PIN to be 12345, then dial *132*00000*12345*12345*.

This USSD command will immediately reset your Glo transfer PIN.

Note: Don’t use 12345 as your new PIN, it is very easy to guess. People who want to play smart ones on you can easily guess such simple numbers.

Also, it is very important to change your default PIN, because Glo doesn’t allow their customers to carryout EasyShare operations with the default 00000 PIN.

How to transfer credit on Glo

To use the EasyShare feature to transfer credit on Glo, dial *131*Phone Number of the recipient*Amount to be transferred*Password#.

Your password is the same as the transfer PIN you activated.

If for instance your password is 12345 and you want to transfer N100 to a customer with Phone Number 08051234567, then you dial *131*08051234567*100*12345#.

Immediately after dialing that command, you’ll get a notification confirming your transaction.

But be very careful when you transfer credit to people… and make sure you don’t miss a single digit, since the process is not reversible.

Now that you’ve learned how to transfer credit on Glo, let’s tackle other miscellaneous issues that has to do with the EasyShare feature.
