Desmond Elliot Wins Surulere Constituency

Nollywood actor cum politician, Desmond Elliot of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Surulere constituency 1 assembly seat in Lagos State.

The results were declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Dr. O. J. Fenuga, following a keenly contested election that witnessed a high turnout of voters in the constituency.

After final collation of results, Elliot came tops with 17,877 votes while candidate of the Labour Party came second with 7,822 votes.

Taking to Instagram to react to his win, Elliot noted that he is open and willing to work with his rivals in the just conducted LGA elections.
