Court Nullifies All APC Primaries In Rivers State

One George Orlu and four other people who asserted to have acquired nomination forms went before the court asking for the annulment of the APC primaries in the state as a result of their purported exclusion from the procedure.

In its ruling from yesterday, October 24, the court decided that the people had been improperly barred from the primary.

Justice E.A. Obile, in the judgment, agreed with the plaintiffs that they were wrongly excluded in the process to participate in the party primaries.

He, therefore, ruled that all those elected from the primary stand nullified and should not be recognized as candidates.
