The Quiz Competition Organized By Corp Members In Ipogun

Education is vital in human’s life. Ipogun Corp Members organized a QUIZ COMPETITION and a Debate within the community. The event was held on the 6th July, 2022 at the Ipogun Community Hall.

The event was to test intelligence and to encourage the community students that education is very important.

The programme was to encouraged the parents, students and the town governing bodies that education is important. The great king if Ipogun, HRM Oba Rapheal Ojo welcome the students, teachers, Corps Member and the community. He expressed his happiness and joy for the program, and he also acknowledged that the 2021/2022 Corps Members were the first to carried out community development services in the community.

The Ayo Grammar School principal, Mrs. Ademoyewa Caroline Modupe, talks on the topic ‘Roles of Education in Life.’ Then a Corps Member, Inyang Amos speaks on the same topic. The topic and speech were to help the student to know the value and importance of education.

There was a quiz competition among the seven primary schools in the community: Santas Trinitas Nursery and Primary School, Morohunkeji Nursery and Primary School, Evangel Group of School, St. Paul Nursery and Primary School, Muslim Nursery and Primary School, St. Jude Nursery and Primary School and Tender Kiddies Academy. Santas Trinitas Nursery and Primary School came first; St. Jude Nursery and Primary School came second, and Morohunkeji Nursery and Primary School came third.

There was also a debate on ‘Doctors are more useful than Teachers.’ This debate was within the SSS 1 (the opposing debater) and SSS 2 (the supporting debater), in which the SSS 2 came first. A student of SSS 2, Ayomide Akindolu was the best speaker in the debate.

The Ipogun Corp Members really did a great job following their second successive community development services in the community. The first was a Skills Acquisition Programme (Tie and Dye) held at Ayo Grammar School. The following Corp Members were the organizers: Wariboko Stella, Odu Igbagboyemi, Gbadegeshin Kehinde, Aderoju Adewale, Ulokwe Chioma, Aboy John, Ugwuoke Lilian, Asogwa Kate, Wuba Anthonia, Udofia Enobong, Jirgba Benjaminl, Adegoke Abolaji and Obafemi Precious.

Special thanks to the following esteemed people: HRM Oba Rapheal Ojo, Mr Adebisi Ajayi, Hon. Ogunleye, Hon Adefila Adebayo (councilor), Hon. Osunyemi, Chief Odopetu, Mr. Adesanmi, Mr Fagoroye (Olori Odo) and Mrs. Ademoyewa Caroline Modupe. We appreciate our Judges—Mr. Fadiyimu Babatola and Ajayi Dolapo ( a corp member from Ilara). The present of the National Association of Ipogun Students (NASIPS) president, Comr. Emmanuel Ogunsuru, and the vice president, Comr. Owolade Modesola. The Ipogun Corps Member also expressed their thanks to Mrs. Afolabi Temitope (LGI) for her contributions.

The programme was successful. All participants went home with gifts.
