Internet fraudsters arrested in Ilorin

30 suspected internet fraudsters have been apprehended in Kwara state by men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

According to a press statement made available to reporters in Ilorin by the Zonal Public Relations Officer, Ayodele Babatunde, the suspects are AdiG0n Oladapo, Olamilekan OG0nsola, Fuad Abidemi, Haastrup Samuel, and others.

The statement further noted that the suspects who are mostly students of the University of Ilorin were arrested at different locations within the Ilorin metropolis following intelligence reports earlier received on their criminal activities.

Items recovered from them include ten exotic cars, mobile phones, laptops, charms, and several incriminating documents.

The statement further revealed that the suspects are currently being screened to establish their culpability and will be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are concluded.
