Argentina Defeats Brazil To Win Copa America

Argentina defeated Brazil at the iconic Maracana stadium in Brazil to lift 2021 Copa America, its first major trophy in 28-years.

Paris Saint-Germain winger, Angel Di Maria scored the only goal of the match in the first half with a perfection lob, to lift his first senior trophy for Argentina alongside long time pal and team captain, Lionel Messi.

Di Maria was named the man of the match, while Messi went home with the highest goal scorer and best player awards.

Argentina’s goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez was the named the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
