AfDB Boss, Adesina Meets Jonathan In Ethiopia

Akinwumi Adesina, the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), met with former president, Goodluck Jonathan in Addis Ababa.

Recall that Adesina was the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development under the Jonathan administration before his appointment as the AfDB president.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Friday morning, Adesina said he met former president Jonathan at the airport lounge in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

The former Nigerian minister, who expressed his delight at seeing his former boss, described him as a great man of peace with an incredibly kind heart.

He wrote: “It was lovely to see my boss, former President @GEJonathan of Nigeria, at the airport lounge in Addis Ababa. A great man of peace, with an incredibly kind heart. Always a joy to be with him. 💕”

It is understood that Jonathan, who is the ECOWAS mediator for Mali and the chairman of the West African Elders Forum, was on an official assignment.
