5-Year-Old Pupil Dr0wns In A Pool During Swimming Lessons

Redeemers Nursey and Primary School in Ogba, Ikeja, has been shut down indefinitely following the death of a 5-year-old pupil, Chidera Eze, within the school premises.

It was gathered that the deceased drowned during a swimming lesson organised by the school back in May, 2022. Chidera was said to have slipped and drowned in the pool while playing with his classmates close to the tip of the pool.

In a statement issued by the Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo, the government said the school is to remain closed pending investigation into its operations as it has been discovered that the school is yet to complete it’s registration.
