Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag, has singled out striker Marcus Rashford for praise following his side’s FA Cup third round 3-1 win over Everton on Friday.

Ten Hag said Rashford showed confidence and belief against Everton at Old Trafford.

Rashford laid on Antony’s first-half opener, then played in the cross that forced Everton star Conor Coady into an own goal early in the second half.

The England international then scored a stoppage-time penalty to give the Red Devils the victory over Frank Lampard’s side.

“From the first minute, I think Marcus was the one who showed confidence and belief,” Ten Hag said at his post-match press conference.

“He was taking on players and I think for 90 minutes he was a threat to the Everton defence.”

Rashford has now scored 13 goals across competitions for Man United so far this season.
