Scott McTominay Reveals What Ten Hag Told Him After Scoring Twice For Man United Against Brentford
Manchester United midfielder, Scott McTominay has revealed what his manager, Erik ten Hag told him before he scored a brace against Brentford during both teams’ Premier League tie on Saturday at Old Trafford.
Recall that McTominay came off the bench to score two late goals as Man United defeated Brentford 2-1 at home.
Speaking after the game, the Scotland international said Ten Hag told him to go into the pitch and score against the visitors.
“It was very loud, the fans were roaring us on so I could not hear fully,” McTominay said at his post-match interview when asked what tactical direction he received from Ten Hag.
“He probably said something like: ‘Go on and score,’ which is what I did.
“That might be one of my favourite moments on a football pitch. Two goals at the death was incredible, but I am just happy to be able to contribute and show people that I can do it.”
