Pep Guardiola Reveals Who Should Win The Ballon D’or In 2023

Man City’s head coach Pep Guardiola has shared his thoughts on who he thinks should win the Ballon d’Or in 2023.

Ahead of an all important fixture in the Premier League on Saturday, October 21, 2023, Manchester City’s head coach Pep Guardiola held a press conference where he spoke about what to expect from his side this weekend.

Pep Guardiola when entertaining questions from the reporters shared his thoughts on who should win the Ballon d’Or in 2023 and why such a player should be given such an award.

Pep acknowledged the brilliance of his striker Erling Haaland but goes on to add that Messi however won the world cup.

The City head coach revealed that he has always thought and said that the organizers of the award ought to have two separate Ballon d’Or awards one for Lionel Messi and the second one for others.

He said,

“I always said that the Ballon d’Or had to be two sections. One for Messi and one for the others. Haaland should win yes or yes. We won the treble, he scored a million goals. I’d love Erling to win. But Messi… Leo won the World Cup!”.

The Ballon d’Or award ceremony would be held on October 30, 2023, and with speculations still surrounding the potential winner of the award itself football fans are eager to hear what coaches and other players think about you should receive the prestigious award in 2023.
