NANS Embark On A Nationwide Protest Set Students To Resume Classes

Students to resume classes on major streets today, March 28, as NANS embark on a nationwide protest

The National Association of Nigerian Students has fulfilled its threats on occupying federal roads across the country in protest against the ongoing strike by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The association had in a statement issued on March 15, 2022, said it would occupy federal roads in the federal capital territory, Abuja, and other states of the federation to air their grievances.

Today, being March 28, protests have resumed in some parts of the country with the Taraba State University issuing a statement to this effect.

Though the statement did not state the nature of the protest, it has however been reported that students are expected to go to the protest ground with their cooking gas, pots, plates, and food items.

The Taraba state protest will kick off at the Jalingo Airport Campus.
