Lamidi Apapa, the factional National Chairman of the Labour Party, has insisted that he will be present at the Presidential Petition Tribunal adjourned for Friday.

TORI had reported that Apapa and Mr Julius Abure’s factions clashed during the court proceeding on Wednesday as they both claimed leadership of the party.

The court refused to recognize the two factions and adjourned the hearing to Friday, May 19.

But speaking on the matter while appearing on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Thursday, Apapa said he will be in the court on Friday.

He also accus3d the presidential candidate of the party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, and the susp3nded National Chairman, Julius Abure of allegedly sponsoring thu*s to b3at him out of the Presidential Petition Tribunal on Wednesday.

According to him, he was in the court on Wednesday because “it was my responsibility as the authentic acting National Chairman of the party to exercise my authority as representative of the party”.
