Havertz Scores As Arsenal Thrash MLS All Stars 5 – 0
Arsenal were in a rampant mood on Thursday morning as they hammered a Major League Soccer selected XI 5-0 in Washington DC.
Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for Mikel Arteta’s side with two stunning finishes from outside the box before half time.
Moments after the second half kicked off, Jorginho rolled in a penalty to make it 3-0.
Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz added late goals as the Gunners inflicted the MLS All-Stars’ worst defeat in this format of the annual game.
Arsenal also remained perfect in the event after winning 2-1 in the 2016 edition.
Their next pre-season game will be against Premier League rivals, Manchester United on Saturday.
