Burna Boy Joins Wizkid And Davido As The Only Nigerians To Achieve This

Nigerian megastar, Burna Boy has joined the elite class of artistes, Wizkid, Davido, CKay and Tems, as the only Nigerian artists in history to have a RIAA platinum certification.

The only Nigerian musicians to sell over one million units in the US are Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, and CKay, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Burna Boy was the most recent artist to do this when his popular song “Ye“, which was released in August 2018, acquired the RIAA’s Platinum certification in the US on Thursday, January 26, 2023.

On May 3, 2021, the popular song “Ye” obtained its gold certification.
