Arsenal Are Out For Revenge – Manager Arteta Speaks Out

Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, has warned Premier League rivals, including Manchester City, that his players are out for “revenge” after dropping points in their last two matches.

Arteta also insisted that Arsenal have become boring in the eyes of everybody amid their title challenge with Man City this season.

Arsenal currently sit just four points above Man City as the two teams fight it out for the Premier League title this season.

Man City will have two games in hand on Arsenal when the two sides face each other in a crucial showdown at the Etihad Stadium next Wednesday.

Pep Guardiola’s side are in FA Cup semi-final action this weekend, while Arsenal can move seven points clear on the Premier League table if they beat Southampton on Friday night at Emirates.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Southampton, Arteta admitted he sees a ‘sense of revenge’ in his players.

Arteta said at his pre-match press conference:

“I see a sense of revenge and determination to get it even better and that it is not enough and you’ve to tweak it and demand more and more of each other. That is what we have to continue.”

He added, “Nobody’s talking about what is gonna happen next Wednesday. “We have to become really boring to everybody and be really repetitive and just focus on what we’ve to do this morning, and that’s it.”
