Ghanaian MP Apologizes To Manchester United’s Harry Maguire For Political Comparison
Ghanaian MP Isaac Adongo has publicly apologized to Manchester United star Harry Maguire for previously using his name in a political analogy last year.
Adongo had compared Harry Maguire to Ghana’s vice president, Mahamudu Bawumia, implying both were prone to making “political own goals.”
However, in a recent parliamentary session, Adongo acknowledged Maguire’s improved performance and extended a public apology to the Manchester United defender.
In his words;
“If you remember last year I was very quick to compare (vice-president) Mahamudu Bawumia to Harry Maguire. Mr Speaker, I now apologize to Harry Maguire.”
“Today Maguire has turned the corner, he’s a transformational footballer.”
“Harry Maguire is now scoring goals for Manchester United,”
