Pep Guardiola Says He Is Emotionally Destroyed After Man City Beat Bayern Munich
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has made some honest confessions after his team’s 3-0 win over Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Etihad on Tuesday.
The Spaniard admitted that the German champions played extremely well despite the scoreline, adding that he was put through the wringer on the sidelines.
Goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland ensured that Manchester City will go into the second leg in Germany with a lot of confidence.
However, Guardiola, a former Bayern Munich manager, told a post-match press conference that he was not comfortable throughout the game and was emotionally destroyed.
“It was not comfortable. Emotionally I am destroyed,” he said.
“I have [aged] 10 more years today.
“I know what we have to do. If you don’t perform they are able to score one, two, three. I know that and the players know it.”
