ABU Zaria Reopens October 24, Resumes Lectures In January
The Academic Staff Union of Universities’ (ASUU) eight-month-old strike was recently put on hold, and the management of Amadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced the start of classes again.
The university set October 24th, 2022, as the day when its campus would once again be open for business. However, the second semester of the abbreviated 2021–2022 academic session won’t start until January 3, 2023.
A “special bulletin” published by the institution on Wednesday, made available to CAMPUS GIST, said the the approval was given by the University’s Senate at its 516th emergency meeting held today (Wednesday).
