Corps Members Teaches Students On Skills Acquisition Programme At Ayo Grammar School
The skills acquisition programme (Tie and dye) was organized by the Ipogun Corps Member in the process of carrying out their community development services on 25th May 2022 at Ayo Grammar School, Ipogun, Ondo State.
The programme was held to empower the student with the ‘Tie and Dye’ skills and prepared them for the labour market. It was attended by the SS1 and SS2 students.
Twelve corps members are Wariboko Stella, Odu Igbagboyemi, Gbadegeshin Kehinde, Aderoju Adewale, Ulokwe Chioma, Aboy John, Ugwuoke Lilian, Asogwa Kate, Wuba Anthonia, Udofia Enobong, Jirgba Benjamin and Adegoke Abolaji were present at Ayo Grammar School. Igbagboyemi led and moderated the programme.
Stella enlightened the student on skills acquisition, types of skills and the benefit of having skills.
Furthermore, Benjamin emphasized the importance of skills in the labour market and also summarized the meaning of ‘Tie and Dye’.
Finally, Adewale explained more about ‘Tie and Dye’ and also carried out the practical exercise for the students. The practical exercise was assisted by other corps members.
The student was well organized and showed interest in learning the skills. The programme was a huge success. Appreciation was poured out to the school principal and the school teachers for their approval, support and contribution during the programme.
