Police Arrests Celebrant Who Distributed Kegs Of Petrol As Souvenir In Lagos
The prime suspect who distributed kegs of petrol as souvenirs at a party held at Havilah Events Centre, Victoria Island on 4th March, 2022, has been arrested and subsequently arraigned.
According to a statement released by the spokesperson of the Lagos police command, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, the suspect, Ogbulu Chidinma Pearl, was arraigned on March 14 at the Special Offences (Mobile) Court of Lagos State in the Ikeja Magistrate District at Oshodi on a four-count charge of conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, endangering human life by distributing combustible matter in a public gathering, intent to do h@rm to another and unlawfully carrying on the business of storage and containerising petroleum product without a permit.
She was granted bail and the case has been adjourned to March 24th. Recall that following the viral video of kegs of petrol being shared at an events centre, the Lagos government had sealed up the events centre and demanded the arrest of the celebrant.
