Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has promised to preserve the rule of law if elected president on February 25.

The former Anambra State governor made this commitment at a town hall event hosted by the Imo state chapter of the LP in Owerri on Thursday.

While commending the organizers of the event for working to unite Nigerians which is in line with the Party’s agenda, Obi reaffirmed his commitment to building a new Nigeria that would be inclusive of people of all ethnic, religions, and preferences.

Obi further assured Nigerians that the nation’s suffering, insecurity, and poverty would end if he is elected the president of the country.

According to him, by transitioning the nation from consumption to production, his ascension would pave the path for economic growth and freedom.
