Twitter Ban: We Won’t Let Them Destroy Our Democracy – Banky W

Popular Nigerian singer and entertainer, Banky W has lent his voice to the online protest against the indefinite suspension of Twitter in Nigeria by the federal government.

The father of one turned preacher took to his Twitter page after the ban was implemented to state that Nigeria’s democracy is being threatened by the people in power.

“I am a Nigerian. And my Govt has made it illegal for me to exercise freedom of speech. They’re threatening to prosecute any of us that still use Twitter. How many of us can they arrest? We wont let them destroy our Democracy. #NigeriaBelongsToUs RT pls,” he wrote.
