On Wednesday 12th of December, 2018; Google reveals their top searches of 2018. Google recaps what users have searched for globally in 2018 and states that the most searches this year are almost on celebrity death cases then the World Cup, “Black Panther”, events and other celebrities with highly important personal.
The global top trending searches list dominated by celebrity deaths were Mac Miller, Anthony Bourdain, Stephen Hawking, Stan Lee, Kate Spade, XXXTentacion and Avicii. Films like “Black Panther,” “Deadpool 2,” “Venom,” “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Bohemian Rhapsody” topped the search giant’s movies list, while Lovato, Cardi B, Daniel Kublbock, Travis Scott and Rick Ross were the top trending musicians. And the World Cup.
Well at the Nigeria music industry Wizkid’s three songs made the top ten trending songs with “Fever” as the most searched song because of the hot stew Wizkid and Tiwa served us in the music video. Davido’s also made it to the top ten list with four songs and “Assurance” as the second most searched after “Fever“. Olamide also got to the list with two of his hit songs “Science Student” and “Motigbana” then Kizz Daniel and Burna Boy.

1. Fever – Wizkid

This definitely is the most searched song of 2018 revealed by Google with the controversy Wizkid and Tiwa dished out on this classic video
2. Assurance – Davido

Assurance follows as the second most searched songs on Google. Well Davido sure gave us something to search and talk about on this after assuring his bae Chioma with this song and a Porsche SUV on her birthday which gave rise to other celebrities and personnel assuring and reassuring their lady.
3. Science Student – Olamide

Olamide’s first single and hit song of the year “Science Student” comes in third on the list with the wonderful effect he gave us on this song and video.
4. Motigbana – Olamide

Olamide’s mid year hit, “Motigbana” follows up as the fourth trending and most search song in the Nigerian music industry with the different vibe and unique act he brought on the song and video.
5. Nwa Baby – Davido

Davido’s “Nwa Baby” comes in as the top 5 most searched song due to the movie effect and the script of this beautiful song.
6. One Ticket – Kizz Daniel ft. Davido

Vado’s recent hit song “One Ticket” featuring OBO which was released before he dropped his “No Bad Song” album is sure a real deal as the recent song be@ts other songs that was released earlier in the year to hold the 6th most searched song even ahead of the likes of “Soco”, “Fake Love”, “Diet” among others.
7. Gbona – Burna Boy

Burna Boy who is currently having a great year released “Gbona” in September and google as revealed this record as the 7th most searched and trending song in 2018.
8. Manya – Wizkid

This “Manya” was released late year but the strongest of the song still made it a popular demand on the internet.
9. Soco – Starboy

One of the biggest song of 2018, “Soco” by Starboy ft. Wizkid, Ceeza Milli, Terri and Spotless comes in 9th on Google’s list of top ten trending songs
10. FIA – Davido

This tune “FIA” was also released last year by Davido after the murder case issues and scandal he had. The banging song is still showing it potentials as it was revealed by Google as the last on the list of top ten most searched and trending songs in 2018.
