Rema Explains How He Almost Missed The Chance To Collaborate With Drake

Nigerian Afrorave artist, Rema has disclose how he almost missed the chance to with Canadian superstar, Drake back in 2022.

In his own words, he believed that the account that slipped into his DMs on “that day” in 2020 was a false one pretending to be Drake.

He said;

‘I felt really amazed when Drake reached out in 2020. I thought it was a fake account’.

He adds that it was his friends who convinced him to look at the verification badge on the account. It was then he realized that it was really the Canadian superstar Drake in his DMs!

Rema then reveals that he was linked up with Drake’s producer and he sent his verse back to them.

On what Drake told him, Rema reveals, ‘He told me he loves what I’m doing for Afrobeats with my sound’.
