Naira Redesign Won’t Fight Corrvpt!on, Only Make People Suff3r – Says Wike

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, responded to the persistent Naira shortage by stating it is not a way to reduce corrvpt!on in the nation.

During a rally for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Okrika Local Government Area (LGA), Rivers State, the governor addressed party supporters.

He said;

“Mr President, I know the pressure. But please, since two of us are going at the same time, this policy has nothing to [do with trying to] fight corrupt!on at all. It has nothing to [do with trying to] fighting politicians at all,” he said.

“The policy aims to suffer the people who elected us to govern over them (sic). Our business is not to make the people suff3r. We all know how to fight corrvvption; we all know how to fight politicians. This particular one does not come in at all.”
