Following crit!cism from Nigerians regarding Burna Boy’s silence on election matters, the afrobeat star has finally broken his silence and expressed his opinion.

Against the backdrop of election controversies across Nigeria, Burna Boy used his Instagram story to urge the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct the election transparently and resist any att3mpt to m@nipulate the results.

Burna Boy went on to emphasize that the electoral body should ensure that the Nigerian people are allowed to freely choose their preferred presidential candidate without any external influence.

The Grammy award winner was last vocal about elections months ago, when he posted on his Instagram story.

Burna boy in the post, apologized to Nigerians about his last performance which saw a lot of criticism earlier in the year.

He also revealed that he is still very much in tune with his motherland after he wished Nigerians a happy new year with a teary emoji, prayed that things get better and proceeded to ask who the best candidate is in the 2023 general election.
