Rapper Jimmy Wopo, Shot Dead In Drive-by Shooting

Rising rapper Jimmy Wopo was shot in a drive-by shooting in Pittsburgh on Monday afternoon and later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
The 21-year-old rapper was traveling with another male in a white Mazda SUV when they were shot about 4:22 p.m. in the Middle Hill neighborhood, according to an article by The Hollywood Reporter.
The other man was in stable condition in a hospital.
The Elm Street rapper’s manager Taylor Maglin confirmed the death of his client, real name Travon Smart, on Facebook.
‘I lost my brother today and it’s the worst feeling in the world. He was destined for greatness and he wanted the best for his friends, family and community,’ Maglin wrote.
‘We lost a great person today, but just know I will do everything in my power to make his memory live on forever. Love you bro,’ he addd.
A police investigation into the drive-by shooting is underway, said Alicia George, a Pittsburgh Police spokesperson.
‘This was an isolated incident, an apparent drive-by,’ George said.
Two bullet holes were seen in the driver’s side window of the Mazda SUV before it was towed away.
The Pittsburgh rapper was survived by his three-year-old daughter Aubrey.
