JAMB Suspended 72 CBT Centres Over UTME 2017 Malpractice

The Registrar of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board [JAMB] has announced the suspension and de-listing of 72 Computer Based Test Centers Over Cases Of Malpractice during the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination held in May, 2017.

24 centres was banned/suspended for one year due to technical issues. The affected centers will only be considered during the 2019 exams.

The management after meeting had approved the “delisting of forty-eight (48) centres from participating in the board’s examination in future as a result of serious technical deficiencies, extortion, organised examination malpractice and other damaging infractions”.

He also explained that supplementary exams will be conducted  for candidates of centres with mass malpractice but who were deemed innocent.
